A chemical damp proofing injection is a method used to treat rising damp in walls. This process involves injecting a damp proofing cream or liquid into the mortar joints of a wall. Once the active injgredient of the DPC has diffused into the wall, it chemically reacts with the minerals inside to form hydrophobic chains of molecules. With the correct amount of the right chemical, an unbroken DPC can be established across the whole lenght of the wall, creating a waterproof barrier
The best solution to treat rising damp is to inject a chemical damp proof solution. A damp proof chemical forms a barrier that prevents water and or moisture from rising up above the point of installation.
